The photo above shows the excellent state of conservation of a chemical tank exposed in a highly polluting environment since 1972.
The inspection, performed later 50 years, did not detect any signs of deterioration of the structure that had originally been subjected to SA3 shot blasting (roughness 75-110 micron) and then coated with a layer of Aluminum (degree 1350) thick 125 micron, using the electric arc spraying process (TSA).
