The publication of technical Bhursani and Mitchener presented at the International conference in Orlando SSPC (USA) examined the phenomenon of rust in the sport of ski lifts (ski-lift) comparing the structures in iron painted only, those galvanized spray and the hot-dip galvanized.
The results show:
a) those painted only require repainting every 3 years;
b) than HDG show signs of rust after 5 years;
c) those galvanized spray showed a higher life twenty years.
In addition to longer life, the spray galvanized structures have a higher abrasion and wear resistance than hot-dip galvanized.
